Privacy policy

MowDeck (“we”, “us”) is a billing platform for lawn care businesses, operated by Favrs, LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the mowdeck.com website and the MowDeck application, including text messages sent through the platform.
Information we collect
- Account information. When a lawn care business signs up: name, email address, password (stored only as a salted hash), and business details such as company name and timezone.
- Customer records. Lawn care businesses enter their customers’ contact details — name, phone number, email address, and service address — in order to bill them. The business controls these records; we process them on the business’s behalf.
- Billing and payment data. Invoice amounts, dates, and payment status. Card and bank details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor; they never touch our servers.
- Technical data. Session cookies needed to keep you signed in, and standard server logs (IP address, request time) kept for security and debugging. When you open an invoice payment link we record that the invoice was viewed, so the business knows its bill reached you. We do not run advertising trackers.
How we use information
- To provide the service: creating invoices, collecting payments, and sending billing notifications by email and text message.
- To secure accounts, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- To support users and improve the product.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for third-party advertising.
Text messaging
Customers of lawn care businesses on MowDeck may receive transactional text messages — invoice notices and payment reminders — after providing their phone number and consent to their lawn care provider. Message frequency varies with billing activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of texts, or HELP for assistance.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
When we share information
We share information only with the service providers that make MowDeck work, and only for that purpose: Stripe (payments), Twilio (text message delivery), Resend (email delivery), and our hosting infrastructure. Each receives only what its function requires. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data retention and security
Billing records are kept for as long as the business’s account is active and as required for tax and accounting purposes. Passwords are stored as salted scrypt hashes; sessions are stored server-side; all traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. A business can request deletion of its account and data at any time.
Your choices
- Text messages: reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
- Email: transactional billing emails are part of the service; account holders can close their account to stop them.
- Access and deletion: contact us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
Children
MowDeck is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
